Landscape renovation · Charlotte
Turn the yard you have into the one you wanted.
Most Charlotte yards are not bad, just unfinished or worn out: beds that were never designed, shrubs grown past their welcome, bare slopes, a lawn that thins every summer. A landscape renovation fixes the whole picture as one planned project instead of a string of small jobs. Send photos and tell us what bothers you about the yard, and we will text you a clear plan and price.

Once the renovation is done, The Springdale Standard keeps it that way: one flat monthly bill for the care that stops a finished yard from sliding back.
Text a few photos of the front, the back, and whatever bugs you most. We will tell you what we would change first and quote the whole project clearly.
When is the best time to renovate a landscape in Charlotte?
Fall, from October through early December, is the strongest window for the planting side of a renovation. Warm soil and cooling air mean roots establish with far less transplant stress than a summer install, and the plants are ready to push growth in spring instead of struggling through their first July.
Hardscape and grading work can run almost year-round, so a fall renovation is usually sequenced: structure and soil work first, planting inside the fall window, mulch last. Spring is when everyone calls, so a project scoped and booked this fall is done before the spring queue forms.
What does a landscape renovation include?
Whatever the yard actually needs, scoped as one project. That usually means removing what is overgrown or dead, fixing grade and drainage so new plantings are not sitting in a low spot, rebuilding beds with plants chosen for sun, size, and Charlotte's clay, and finishing with edging and fresh mulch or pine straw. Many renovations also add stonework: a patio, a walkway, a stone border, or a retaining wall on a slope.
We do not sell a package. We look at the property with you, decide what order the work goes in, and put the full scope and price in writing before anything is booked.
Can you add privacy screening as part of a renovation?
Yes, and it is one of the most common reasons people call. Evergreen screening planted in the fall has the whole cool season to root, so it is working for you by the next summer. We pick species for the space and the sun, and space them so the screen fills in without crowding.
If you mainly want a screen, the fall planting and privacy page covers that work on its own. A renovation is the version where the screen is one part of a yard that gets rebuilt around it.
Will a renovated yard stay that way?
Only with upkeep, which is why we say so up front. New beds need mulch kept at two to three inches and off the stems, shrubs need shaping on schedule, and the lawn needs feeding and seeding each fall. Left alone, a finished landscape drifts back toward the one you started with.
That care is exactly what The Springdale Standard covers on one flat monthly bill. It is the simplest way to keep a renovation looking the way it did the day it was finished.

Meet the owner
Hi, I'm Justin.
I'm a homeowner before I'm anything else, and when my own place needed work I did exactly what you're doing now: called around, chased down a pile of companies, and ended up with a stack of quotes and no real way to tell who was actually any good.
So I built the thing I wish I'd had. Instead of rolling the dice on strangers, I keep a small bench of specialists I work with every single day. I know who the best turf guy in this area is, who I trust with hardscapes, and who I've stopped using because they didn't meet my bar.
I match the right one to your job, I set the scope and the price, and I check the work. These crews answer my calls differently than they'd answer yours: to them you're a one-time customer, to me they're protecting their next fifty jobs. You get that priority, and you deal with one person, me. One quote, one bill, one number to call.
“If something's ever not right, you don't chase down a crew. You call my cell. And I answer on Sunday afternoon.”

Questions about this service
- How much does a landscape renovation cost in Charlotte?
- It depends entirely on scope: how many beds, what gets planted, whether grading or stonework is involved. We do not publish ballpark numbers because they would be guesses. Send photos and we will text you a clear written price for your yard, and the quote holds unless the scope changes.
- Can I do the renovation in phases?
- Yes. Many customers start with the part that bothers them most, often the front beds or a drainage problem, and add the back yard or stonework later. We will tell you the order that makes sense so early work is never torn up by later work.
- Do I need a design drawing first?
- Not for most residential yards. We walk the property with you or work from your photos, agree on the scope, and write it up plainly. If a project is big enough to justify a formal plan, we will say so.
- Do you remove the old plants and debris?
- Yes. Overgrown shrubs, dead plants, old edging, and the debris from the work are hauled off as part of the project scope.
- What areas do you serve right now?
- Springdale serves south Charlotte and Pineville, the Union County corridor (Weddington, Marvin, Waxhaw, and Wesley Chapel), and the SC border towns (Fort Mill, Tega Cay, Indian Land, and Rock Hill). We also serve Steele Creek, Belmont, Mount Holly, Mountain Island, and Denver. Availability depends on the service, property address, and schedule; send your address so we can confirm before booking.
